3 blade tail no spares available :-(
I need two of the plastic link arms or them with a new slider .
These links are different too the 2 blade tail links .
Not happy to buy another complete tail upgrade just to get these .

I thought about them already and worried the plastic may not be as strong ?
And it it seems a huge risk for the money I have just put back into rebuilding it .
Thanks

That is why I am always afraid to do such upgrades on my birds...

Most of the time, no spare parts on the market!

If you need some part, you have to get a complete assembly.

Be aware: The Team Associated links are not direct replacements for the stock dog-bones used on the Align 700 3-bladed tail
They were suggested / recommended by someone who didn't agree with Align's design for the geometry of the 700 3-bladed tail and thought using these to change the geometry was a good idea.

If you go this route, make sure you find and follow the complete conversion instructions - it includes new brass inserts and changes to the tail rotor control rod.
However, those plastic dog-bones are more then strong enough to handle the load.

I do not know this for a fact, but the 700 2-bladed dog-bones may be identical to the dog-bones on the 3-blade setup.

I did this conversion on my Trex 700N.
There was never a problem and the initial set lasted for as long as I had the heli.

In the end (when I moved to SAB), I removed the 3-bladed tail and sold it separately from the heli. I included the left over conversion pieces plus the original dog-bones.

I have the team associated servo spacers but **** out using them as slightly thinner on the ends .
My thinking is if they fail it’s a big risk .
Also the 700x links are 0.5mm shorter .
Align UK are now getting me some direct from the factory as they not sell them .
I imagine they will soon stock them though and it was an over sight as every other model links are sold separate .

Tail servo is not as strong as you figure out.

On this 700, your stock servo is about 4 kgm per cm... 47 Oz per inch.

So, mechanism on tail is not demanding so much forces...

Take one of this dog-bone and do a test on your bench.
Simulate a 8 kgm of weight doing some arrangement with ball links... And see what happen.

On flights, each one of this little dog-bone resist 1/3 of total force of... 4 kgm...

It broke? Probably don't.

Very interesting point.

No matter how strong your tail servo is... Trex 700 is not going to spend more than 47 Oz per inch on the tail.

The dog-bone is a good idea to implement.

I would consider this idea.
