MCPX V2 problem in idle up!!!!!
Hello everybody and merry Christmas! I haven't posted here for a few years. I have my beloved MCPX heli that's acting nuts in idle up and I am lost. One day for no reason I can find it just started acting up. Heli flies great in normal mode but when idle up switch is hit the heli swash makes a full foreward and left motion at a medium speed. I hold it in my hand and it does this. If im flying and hit idle up then I can keep giving it repeated corrective stick and re-center, but then it immediately goes foreward and left . Please help! I have completely rebuilt this heli and this problem persists. The last thing I did was bound another MCPX under that models settings and it also did the same. Can my old DX7 be failing me. What am I missing? This does not happen to my 300cfx. Has anyone seen or heard of this.

Thank you guys!

Check your dx7. Each idle up has separate trims. Make sure they are all zeroed, NORMAL, IDLE UP 1 and IDLE UP 2. You should see where they are in the display screen.sponsored by overtime

Heli_Splatter Wrong!
No, I’m looking at my Dx7SE right now. Each flight mode has independent trims. I didn’t say subtrim. The OP said old Dx7. So I’m assuming that is what he meant. jackass!

Damn! You are right! I cant believe I missed something so simple. I must have hit the trim settings or layed it down out the case with power on or something. Maybe my kid used it I knew I could get the answers here. I never noticed the button trim were specific to switch position. Thanks again guys. Merry christmas

YOU ARE VERY WELCOME atothek78 MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR!

You were saying heli-splatter???? Hmmm guess I don’t know anything. I have two Dx7’s. One of the originals when they first came out in 2006, and the dx7se that was the same model only with faster latency that came out a little later.

OP said Dx7 not Dx7se. What part of that don’t you understand. I will write slower for you. You got lucky, but you just could not leave it at that.

I'm not really sure excactly what you guys fussing about but for the record I have an original DX7 I have had for years. This radio does have switch specific trim on the idle up switch (as I discovered today) I changed it back to center on ST1 and ST2 and my problem is corrected. Thanks to both for helping. Lets move on. Merry Christmas

My question would be, Why would you want different trims for each flight mode? More importantly, why would this be the default radio setting? At least it is on my DX18 Gen2.
