AirWolfRC Life can be simple - - - I like simple
But in the real world, life is NOT simple. Putting simpletons into a complex, ever changing environment results in bad things happening.

The majority of people prefer simple. I prefer simple.

A purpose of technology is to make things simple for those that have better things to do than fight with the complex. Leave the complex to those that like that kind of thing. I like complex in certain areas of technology. I spend a lot of time there.

Make things simple so others can have the benefits of technology without the pain or risk.

Some times it takes a while to get there . . . like self driving cars . . .

Simplicity is one always beneficial, however there isn’t always a simple answer to a complicated [complex] answer.

Let’s take our hobby for example: the FBL unit
Everyone want a FBL easy to setup, however it’s a very complicated and sophisticated piece of hardware/software.

Options:
There are units with and without PC interface
There are units with and without built in RX
There are units with and without bailout
There are units that are all in one and multiple unit
.... and so on

Can be perplexing and a lot can be resolve with awareness and that can only be overcome by educating ourselves.

These are loaded with variables and moving targets, can be easily accomplished if we ask ourselves the basic question:

#1 - Needs vs Wants [accept where we are in the hobby]
#2 - Ask for help since figuring out is the hardest part
#3 - Be a student and learn all there is to know on the subject
#4 - Apply and impliment right away
#5 - Doing will build confidence which will create more knowledge and give use the experience we need.

Now there’s always situation where 20% of the time something is We say is over complicated to do the same task, 80% of them are simple and are what we need. However that 20% may give us features that is on the next level or could be headache inducing. So that is why we have to learn and be aware of the possible options to do what we need it to do on a basic level and the possible eventuality.

It’s like your self driving car idea. Yes it’s simple, get in and take us where ever we want.
- yes, make it simple to get in, input addresses and take us where we want.

Now let’s say something happens or goes south?
- what are our options?
- well, it’s all in the manual, however 80% of the people are not willing to put in the effort and the 20% people will reap the full potential of the complexity that is meant to simplify our life.
we feel this important since it’s a matter of life and death... however do we do this in all aspect of our lives?

So it’s a matter of decisions we choose to deal with or not. That comes part it with our atttiude.

Making everything simple also has a downside... it tends to make people lazy, stupid, and generally irresponsibleshowing a preference will only get you into trouble, 90% of everything is crap...

Yes it does . . . and they are called "users".

. . . and I have been known to tell those people that if it wasn't for people like me, they'd still be on horse back.

Those “Lazy, Stupid and irresponsible” [abusive] individuals would of been taken care of by evolution... however society has been “Simplified”, enabling their survival.
