There were plenty of folks pushing back 3 to 4 years ago, myself among them and all I heard was that Drone Weenies were modelers too. We were discriminating, we were reactionary, we were being D****. There were those among us that were blaming DJI and were called out for it, we were discriminating against all the Drone Weenies for no flying skills, no LOS skills and lack of judgement concerning where and when they fly. YT videos were posted ad nauseum, ad infinitum and the bulk of us were labeled as being out of the mainstream of progressive Drone Weenie thought. We were discriminating towards our FPV racing brethren and yet through it all with the AMA rolling over and embracing the Drone Weenies and trying to bolster membership, we were right.

Don't believe me? The posts are still there for all to see. No sense in repeating myself. It's all there in glorious RunRyder Technicolor. All the naysayers, unbelievers and Drone Weenie advocates unless they went back and deleted individual posts, it's all right there.

Doc Dot must have just had an epiphany in the last year or so because I don't remember you being as vocal about the FAA and the Drone Weenies as you have become, nevertheless, glad to have you on board. There has been an awakening of sorts on all the other sites, like, RCG, HF, RCU and FG among others and there are a lot of folks that have finally come around and seen what is going on. The Drone Weenie companies and their legal corp are so brazen that they are attempting to steal 2 Mhz of 2 Meter bandwith for Aviation use which dovetails on the upper end of that spectrum all in the name of a Drone Weenie downlink despite the fact that 144 to 146 Mhz is the most popular amateur radio band on the globe, there are hundreds of Sats using 144 to 146 not to mention space station comms, all in the name of overall Drone Weenie goodness and love. UPS managed to hoodwink the FCC out of a big block of 220 Mhz spectrum back in the day, got the Hams kicked off of part of it and never did anything with it because cellphones happened while the FCC ended up auctioning off the bandwith to interested parties which is exactly what is going to happen with the 144 to 146 spectrum that Thales Group of Drone Weenie companies is trying to appropriate in the EU.

Of course UPS and all the other shippers are embracing the Drone Weenie happiness and love mantra while they are heavily courting the Dilberts at FAA to eliminate all modeling activity from the face of the Continent. An article in Forbes told of the FAA's total shock at the number of letters and comments they got on their NPRM sites when they asked for comment on proposed rules for modelers. FAA were at the JOK event and shut down the Apollo field, albeit for awhile but is now running at lower altitude restriction of 250' as opposed to 400' prior. I would not be surprised if they were at IRCHA right now, monitoring the event with a long list of suggestions after the event for the organizers to consider for next years event. Of course there has been a bit of a rumble as of last Sunday with IRCHA management all to the betterment of the hobby of RC Helis I'm sure.

The latest SNAFU to come is Remote ID, which is a bit of a sticky wicket for the chaps at FAA to resolve at the minute and they are pushing that out for a couple of years so they can figure out how to save face when they can't pull it off due to technical reasons, which I predicted several years prior would happen.

BTW, one of the reasons that the Drone Weenies were getting such long range control out of their GPSSMR's* is because their systems were piggy backing RC over IP which has resulted in ranges of up to 30 miles beyond LOS for some GPSSMR's* using the cellphone system in conjunction with the internet which we all know inspires great confidence vis a vis safety and all that jazz.

*GPSMR: Global positioning system stabilized multi rotor-gotta love all these acronyms.

Perhaps they should pay more attention to preventing approval of auto crash software in full size aircraft with humans inside.

Call me “ don’t have to be anywhere so fast that I take a 737 max”
Not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted.

Boeing could have used any FBL software and it would have worked better than the trash they were using. At least it would have sensed rotation.

Seen on a KC (Mo) tv station this morning about some city-wide drone law either being enacted or being discussed, and they mentioned could be adopted
by other cities......as always.
Rushing off to work at the time, but almost think they said it WAS going in to effect...need to research it a little further......

Hi....

Wish I did not have such a good record of being right about bad things...FAA agrees to one thing, counts to 10, changes regulations again...
We have got to get rid of Hanson, get a fighter in place...GoFundMe works wonders, mayb get Rudy on it...?
