Hi guys I'm new here and also new to this hobby! I have a 8ch jr xp8103 transmitter and an 8 channel futaba R168Df reciver. I have the manual for both and I'm trying to bind them but no where it says in the manual how to bind. Can someone help me please!

Short answer..... you can’t. Radio systems are not cross compatible....

Given the nature of your question, I would highly recommend that you seek the help of an experienced pilot in your area....

Been there, done that and old enough to know better.....

You spent a fortune on that transmitter ?? You’re kidding, right ?? If you paid more than $50 for that antique then you got taken .....

You’ll need to buy a JR receiver on the frequency your transmitter is on ...... you don’t “bind” FM radios.... the transmitter and receiver must be on the same frequency to work ....

Been there, done that and old enough to know better.....

Like I said above, you need an FM JR receiver that is on the same frequency as your transmitter.....

And SERIOUSLY, you need the help of an experienced pilot to help you get things sorted out....

That machine you have is not a toy and can seriously hurt you or others if set up improperly....

Been there, done that and old enough to know better.....

Look at the module on the back of the transmitter. The channel number should be listed....

Then find a JR receiver that is on the same channel. You’ll need at least a 6 channel receiver.

Is there a hobby shop or club in your area that you can get help from ??

Almost everyone has moved on from 72mhz radios to the 2.4 spread spektrum radios. 72mhz radios are not worth much, but if they work then why not use it. Put up an Ad here and someone might have a receiver to sell or even give you to use. $150 was way too much for the radio. At this point you would have to pay me to take it. Still, if it works, have fun.
