Hello...
I need some info about bailout.
I have one Trex700 with castle 120hv and i make some autorotation.
I have the "Head speed change rate" at custom 10 but i see that its very slowly to recover from autorotation. What is the best value with out make damage the main gear?
The motor that i use is the scorpion 4525-520kv ultimate.
Thanks.

Trail an error...

I would prefer not to cut motor... I mean... When you flip Throttle hold switch, maintain motor operating at low rpm... So... The recovery process must be easier this way...

Saludos cordiales,

I just want to add one comment to the above video. One has to be very careful with the A/R bailout, as ultimately the idea is to land the heli at the end of an auto. If you do not go back to normal mode in this case and let the blades spool down (they don't have to be stopped, just turning slow) and turn off TH, that bailout will almost assuredly give you an uncontrollable heli on the ground. The full torque of the motor with no or very little headspeed will make the heli rotate opposite the direction the blades turn because you have no tail thrust to counteract the torque. This can also occur in the air if you let the blades get too slow.

I'm not saying that there is anything incorrect about the info in the video, just adding a caution to not just flip out of hold without first going to a soft start condition, however you have it set up.

I agree with the above post. I fly Vbar control and there is a motor off/motor on switch. When landing an auto to then take off again, I have to switch the motor off switch to then get a slow spool up.
Forget that once and though nothing got damaged, it did spool up quickly and I shut off the motor before it got too far. But it does work well when you need to bail out.

Hello to everybody.
I can go with slow rpm.In the competitive situation when you go for autorotation you need to stop the motor. If you don’t take zero points.
I don’t have problem when I land to make wobbles at skid the helicopter because I have the stick at zero point and I wait to stop the blade.
Anyway I increase the parameter and I test it to see where is ok.
