First turbine heli
I have been flying large turbine jets for almost 16 years. I want to finally try a scale turbine heli. I can fly a helicopter as I used to fly a trex 600 many years ago.

Which scale combo is suited for a first timer? People who I know recommend the VARIO 1:6 alouette with the PHT2 engine. Another person recommened the Starwood Lama with he Jakadofsky engine. Both are totally different price range. What’s really a nice first turbine heli?

Thanks

Anurag,

Wish I had known of your interest in turbine heli’s before, as we could have met up at JetPower to go over ideas.

The small Alouette is nice but the PHT2 system can have issues.
The Starwood variant is also nice, but needs a lot of work to make it reliable.
If you want to pm me with your email address, I will happily give you some suggestions.
