The helicopter is obviously handmade as I can see pencil lines on the landing gear struts and the frame sides show signs of filing. Where the motor would be is an enormous cutout but I don't see drill holes where motor mounts, etc would go. I would assume that the helicopter was made from plans but I have not been able to locate anything that looks like this machine. This is a big big frame. The helicopter shows signs of having been flown as it would appear that fuel residue is on the swashplate of the machine. What you see of the helicopter is all that I have.

As far as the rotor head and swash plate they came with the motor mount assembly and gear drive for a DuBro Hughs 300. But way too sophisticated a job for a DuBro Hughs 300 and I can't find anything that is remotely similar though it sure looks to be an early design.

Hi,
The rotorhead components and the swash certainly do appear to be Dubro - they were the collective pitch upgrade items for the Shark as shown on this link -double click on the pics. http://www.vrhc.co.uk/index.php/en/dubro/shark

The main frame appears to be a home build job and which by the looks of it, was never finished hence the lack of holes for the engine mount etc.
There is only 1 make of RC Heli that I know of with the same type of pulley drive system, possibly it was modelled on this one.

Perfect. I had combed through the vrhc web site and missed both. Regarding the head, I reviewed the DuBro Hughs 300 on the vrhc site after seeing your post and I believe one of the photos had a machine with the Shark upgraded head which shouldn't be a surprise as both machines were very similar.

Prior to posting asking for help, I also had spotted the photo labeled 'no info' on this page: http://www.vrhc.co.uk/index.php/en/...designs/unknown

and thought this one looked very similar but the angle of the shot and the photo quality make it very hard to get detail. And it is marked 'unknown' so that was not any help.

Thanks for pointing this out. I really appreciate the help.
