lemons make great lemonade..and margarita mix
I think you have compiled a fantastic video and digital record of the evolution of our hobby..which is not dieing..why not organize and offer what you have painstakingly recorded on disc..short on money..how about a "go fund me" account?

I do a great decending funnel!

Like RM3 stated CaJun aircrafts supports MA what a laugh I've heard this for years now and like he's noticed 95% always out of stock except for basic screws & lock nuts. I've said before no fault of anyone thing but a cumulation of things happening that don't help. No magazine presence in a large vendor aka: Walmart. Drones= easier to fly available, crash worthy & cheap, by far people are lousy today want instant gratification can't be bothered, the unfortunate cost of a rc helicopter which is justified because rc helicopters are a niche unlike stamp collecting.

There will always be a fascination to fly model helicopters, I have planks but they just don't have the same appeal as hovering and flying a heli smoothly does.

People always seem to stop and watch a heli flown especially a nice scale one..

AGREED, and well said RM3

I really think RM3 Gets it....I think he Gets it more than most.

I just Traded my BRAND new Never seen a drop of Fuel, built VERY well by me- taught by the guys at Kennett MO ---- Whiplash 90 N.

I Traded that Helicopter with New blades and a Align starter + $800 Cash and purchased a Used but Nice

Carden Extra 300 126" with a DA150.

Now begins my Soap Box......... this post will be edited as I type. My grammar SUCKS and I know it- so forget correcting me.

Let me start of with: I made that TRADE at a FUN-FLY!!! when was the last time you guys went to a FUN-FLY???????????? That was a HOLE in my life that was missing! I had TRULY forgot how important attending events is.

Not only that....gasp......it was an AIRPLANE Fun-Fly! Last week I attended and flew at the 5Th annual 3D BASH at Kennett MO. and dude it was a HOOT!!!

now its no real secret.....I have been flying airplanes more and more recently....Blame it on Freewing by Motion RC...a place where you can buy AWESOME foam EDF Jets super scale for CHEEP and they look, sound, and fly Great! ( iv got the P-15 and the A-4 )

Well then, This guy at my club offers me a USED Cap 232 with a DLE 85CC gas engine for $600 ready to fly. dude it was a BLAST!! I had soooo much ripping that thing around, Harriers and Torque rolls and Unlimited Vertical---soooo much more relaxing than Helis...

soo when the oppertunity presented itself to drive 30 minuets to this 3d bash with Raffel....oh ya-- I went...ALL 3 DAYS!!!

the difference is ----I am FLYING again!!!! and dear LORD- I am having FUN!!! And dare I say, LEARNING NEW THINGS!!!

OK-sooooo what is the point???

I thought that RUNRYDER was the "Pulse of the Hobby"......It's not.

I was "stuck" in 2004-2008....know what I mean???

Soooo as I PAINFULLY watched Heliproz, and Ron Lunds, and Miniature Aircraft Close their doors I felt DISPAIR. I thought man, everything is dead...everyone is closing the hobby is dying.

The reality is....I have had "blinders" on....RR Blinders....

The hobby is ALIVE AND WELL....its Just different Names now...and perhaps you all should try the FIXED-WING side of the house....

Flame suit ON!!! Before you call me whatever....I fly Real helicopters for a living...so I get the addiction...and Oh Yes, I do need the scratch.

but man oh man.... let me BLOW YALLS MINDS...

here is my list of stuff that I did not know about. and it is REALLY great stuff!

the "pulse" of the Hobby is here...Im not trying to Break RR rules sorry if this does.

TWISTED HOBBYS. <<<<DUDE, get ya one- Highly recommended by TOP 3d pilots : 22" Mini Crack Pitss Green.... watch a video
P.A.U (gas planes)
AJ Aircraft
EXTREME FLIGHT
Flex Inovations
3D Hobby Shop
ZDZ Engines.
Motion RC .....DUUUUUDDDDDEEEEE!
FREEWING EDF Jets----the best in Foam
Banana Hobby...................they have FOAM TURBINE JETS???? WHAAAAT?

Flying Giants
Northwest RC "Suppa Tim"

the Hobby is alive...you just have to know where to look...it not your 5 year old whiplash with no parts in the mean time Im flying SAB Goblin---new models and they support their product. good quality

hope this helps....

Dropping Tones!

I still fly my MA Fury with Tempest head..

I also do a lot of indoor flying of late, but using the contra rotating scale machines, not really teaching myself anything new but it keeps the stick movements firm in the brain LOL

Even though there is more to flying a helicopter than a plank I enjoy both, but there is something nice about mastering a helicopter.

to me flying a Heli vs a plank comes down to infrastructure...

my preferred field doesnt have a runway... and the field I can fly at that does (club field) the area is simply to small and with a lake in the background, suns in your eyes in the afternoon and very tall trees surrounding the field you run the risk of loosing the aircraft...

Helis are simply more convenient as far as flying sites go... as long as the airspace is big enough, you dont need a runway , the ground conditions are mostly irrelevant and you can takeoff and land pissing distance away from yourself.

showing a preference will only get you into trouble, 90% of everything is crap...
