Hello:

I set up a TSA Infusion nitro using the CGY 750 v2.0 for the first time. My Tx is the 14SG.

I finally figured out the governor function using a 3-position switch (not the collective stick method) to turn off the governor in "normal" mode and turn on the governor in "Idle Up 1" and "Idle Up 2".

My only apparent issue now is that when I set the headspeed on the CGY and then try to match it in the 14SG (for each flight mode), the CGY headspeed value will change. I have a friend who has an older 14SZ (I think) Tx that allows the CGY and Tx headspeed value to match.

Not sure if this is a 14SG glitch for I have a variable set wrong somewhere.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks !
Mike C.

Hey Mike, I found this. Give it a try.

[Calibration method]
There are 2 types of the transmitters with/without the rpm calibration menu in the transmitter.

1) With the calibration menu in the transmitter (T18MZ/T14MZ/T12Z)
a). Open the governor menu on the transmitter. There are 3 button to
calibrate the rpm 1000, 1500, 20000 (2500) rpm. Select the revolution
ranges either 2000 or 2500 rpm.
b). Activate the governor mixing and set the governor channel to 7 ch with the function menu. End point of the rpm channel (7ch) should be set to 100 %.
c). Push the 1000 rpm button on the transmitter and set the CGY governor rpm to 1000 rpm on the RPM setting menu.
d). Push the 1500 rpm button on the transmitter and set the CGY governor rpm to 1500 rpm on the RPM setting menu.
e). Push the 2000 (2500) rpm button on the transmitter and set the CGY
governor rpm to 2000 (2500) rpm on the RPM setting menu.
*** Calibration is finished by putting the 3 different rpm

2) Without the calibration menu in the transmitter (T8FG/T14SG/T12FG and others)
a). Open the governor menu on the transmitter. Select the revolution ranges either 2000 or 2500 rpm.
b). Activate the governor mixing and set the governor channel to 7 ch with the function menu. End point of the rpm channel (7ch) should be set to 100 %.
c). Set the rpm to 1000 rpm on the transmitter. And set the CGY governor rpm to 1000 rpm on the RPM setting menu.
d). Set the rpm to 1500 rpm on the transmitter. And set the CGY governor rpm to 1500 rpm on the RPM setting menu.
e). Set the rpm to 2000 (2500) rpm on the transmitter. And set the CGY
governor rpm to 2000 (2500) rpm on the RPM setting menu.
*** Calibration is finished by putting the 3 different rpm

These process are done to match the relation of the rpm setting pulse
width of the transmitter to governor revolution. It is needed the 3 points (Low-Middle-High) calibration. After calibrated the rpm, the difference between the transmitter and governor will be less than 10 rpm indicated.

This rpm setting operation has been utilized a for long time since the GV-1, has the very flexible rpm adjustment ability, free rpm setting of any of the input pulse width, not only for modern designed transmitter but the older transmitter.
