Hi,

I just bought a Goblin Sports 570. The problem I am having is that the tail wags from left to right. Some one suggested to buy a 23 teeth pinion on the motor to increase the head speed but no change. Wen I increase the gain in Vbar setting the waging increases.

I am using Vbar New for gyro. Align DS615 on Cyclic and Align DS 655 on the Tail servo.

I will appreciate any help or suggestions.

I also tried using bigger blades on the tail but no change.

Thank You.

Raising the headspeed only helps with tail authority as is the tail rotates because it can't hold it straight. Same with using longer tail blades.

Lower your tail gain,
If no help, then check the tail linkage for smooth movement.

Increasing gain when you are already experiencing tail wag will only make it worse.

Please turn your gain down incrementally and test it by getting the heli light on the skids and watching how the tail performs each time. You should notice the wag begin to decrease. Wagging typically means to drop the gain a few points at a time until the wagging stops but still holds.

If the tail feels loose or is uncontrollable in flight or if the tail tends to torque over when you give quick collective inputs, that's a sign your gain is too low. You'll need to increase gain until the tail holds solidly and stops cleanly when you stop inputting rudder commands.

It sounds like you gain settings are way off from default; reset your gain to default and that will get you a good baseline.

Hope that helps a bit. Good luck

I had a similar problem and chased down for a while . Look at belt tension from motor to main gear . I played with it a little and my tail wag went away .

I stole it ,flew it and gave it back ;)

High vibrations... Check belt tension, tail rotor balance, also check tail blades balance... In less importance, check main rotor Tracking...
