RR Site Navigation - Touch the "N"
Now click or touch the top right "N" icon for RR site navigation. A fast way to jump to any site. I think this is cool. It might need a little refinement. Let me know what you think via post reply.

Mark,

That is a very nice feature specially for those (maybe just one) that complain that they can't navigate the system after some changes.....
Been there, done that and old enough to know better.....

It is a very fast way to jump to various areas of RR but I don't see where it takes me to new posts in those area. Say I want to see new posts in "Watercraft"- touching N will take me to that sub-forum but not to new posts there."Well, nothing bad can happen now."

That's all it's for. Yellow obviously means a site has something new. So "N" is miss leading. Should it be "S" or "J"? I say "S" because it's a list of all RR sites.

N for Navigate? I can get used to that. On the other hand you may want to reserve N for New. I guess the subject of this thread got me to thinking about "New".

M for Menu? J for Jump(to)? I for Index? F for Forums? S for Sites works. I suppose it'll just be a matter of users learning to use whatever you choose. The actual letter may not be that important as long as it has some memorable logic.

Excellent. Thanks for the feedback. Now to change the whole thing to a more stable modal presentation. This will allow for more consistent scrolling when more sites are added.

it wouldn't bother me if RR stayed a way from RC cars, boats and robots, but I also wont complain if they are brought in

I wouldnt mind seeing an Ebike section. Especially since some DIY Ebikes use Rc electronics and parts.

Everything RC is coming soon. I need to sort out some back end issues first. Cloning the existing RR Heli stand alone site is proving easier said than done.

Thanks for the feedback.

Getting the yellow view new (and their associated counts) right (separate per site) has been the hardest algorithmic issue I have had to solve in many years. I think I have it just about right and now can move onto more pressing matters.
JuanRodriguez Nice, very tidy.....
Thanks
