Easy answer
RC - more meat to dissipate the heat and a bigger fan that moves alot of air.

You must consider first, your heli model kit.

My spectraG, for example, can't handle RC motor. The kit is for PUH.

its all on the Fans design and the shroud... currently a direct comparison the RC format has better cooling... but the PUH could cool better IF the fan is designed correctly and the shroud made to fit it properly.

But if your stuck with having to use a PUH, Most importantly is the exhaust port. if you can add an "X port" which is a finned exhaust port extender, you can draw more heat out from this area. the exhaust port area n the piston and cylinder wall is the first place that sees damage from over heating.
showing a preference will only get you into trouble, 90% of everything is crap...

My g240rc runs well inside the MD500 fuselage. I do alot of hovering and slow maneuvering and there is usually alot of heat inside when I land but it has always been very reliable. I have an opening underneath for the recoil and airflow. As you can see the sides are also wide open.

If you get a Vario, they have a fan that attaches to the bottom of the motor which helps cool it.

Base on your opinions, a fuselage required a kit with a good design for cooling.

So, if you plan to have a fuselage, then, first, you need a good kit.

Good kit? With a RC motor.
Bad kit? With a PUH motor.

Simple.

If you have a PUH motor on your kit, forget it.
Motor is going to run hotter no matter what you do or spend.

RC motor take care of one single thing, the cooling factor.
