I'm Getting back in to helio's and I bought a Align 500 with many up-grades. It's FBL but didn't come with the FBL system. Would a BeastX Plus be a good one to start with? If so witch one? I do fly 3D but not hard 3D.

Thanks

Spektrum??
The AR7210BX reciever would be a great option for you, if your tx is Spektrum.
It is both rx and BeastX in one conpact unit.
Welcome back, and get out there and have a lot of fun!!!

Normally I would recommend a Futaba CGY750. It's a great gyro and Futaba transmitters work well with Futaba gyros. But these are not normal times. The availability of Futaba products is in flux at the moment.

For my last build I installed an iKon. As with anything new I've had to do some learning and growing but the results have been satisfying. I'm pleased with the unit and its ease of setup. I'm equally pleased with its flight performance.

There are other units out there, including the BeastX, and there are folks that are fans of each. I haven't used them so I'm uncomfortable commenting on them.

I guess I don't really get the hole Fly barless thing. I know that the fly bar paddles are gone but how is that in the set-up?

Ed,

Sounds like you would be best served by seeking an experienced pilot in your area that can take you by the hand and help you with your venture....

Aside from that, YouTube and Google are a great source for information. There are some excellent setup videos on the more popular FBL units you may decide to go with....

Been there, done that and old enough to know better.....
