Have you tried replacing the mounting pad as previously suggested ?? I don’t see it on the list ....

I’m not saying that will cure it but sometimes the simplest of solutions are overlooked.....

Been there, done that and old enough to know better.....

I'm not sure how wide you mean but a fast continuous wag is gain related. Did you check the gain adjustment in the TX is actually adjusting the gain? Lower it right down and move the heli, then crank it right up and move the heli and check there is a difference in servo/pitch slider movement?

A good rule for a starting gain is when you can rotate the heli by hand to around 45 degrees, the tail pitch should have just reached it's limit by the time you get to 45 degrees.

60% of the time, it works every time!

I fly Brain 2 HD in my Trex 700N, T600N, Goblin 700 Black Nitro and now my Goblin 570 Nitro and they all fly great.

I use the Futaba FUTQ1000 gyro tape. I tried pretty much all the tapes that are out there and the different layering methods. The FUTQ1000 Gyro Pad is the one that I like. It is the best (in my opinion).

When I see a fast tail wag, the first thing I check is the tune - too lean and you get a lot of engine roughness (it is hard to hear it stumbling) that translates to a tail wag.
Especially if the governor gain needs some tuning itself.

Honestly, I have never had to stray too far from the default settings on the Brain / Brain 2 gyros.
When I started flying the T600N, I was using a Skookum SK540 gyro and I could never get the heli to settle down and fly. I was always trying to tune the gyro
I switched to the Brain and it was a completely different experience.

On my Goblin 700, I had to dial the tail rotor gain way down compared to the T700N - almost a 30 point difference between them.
But, the G700BN has a much higher tail rotor speed

You can try playing with the D-gain to soften the stop.
I had a problem where the D-gain needed adjustment because the tail would oscillate when it tried to do a fast-stop when the rudder stick was centered.
When it bounced at center, the D-gain made it get worse and worse.
The problem (right now), is that I cannot remember if it needed more or less D-Gain

You could try that with the aileron too.

Believe 1/2 of what you see and none of what you hear.

It's good to hear that the ikon works well on nitro. I ended up rebuilding the model. The main and auto rotation gear as well as the front input gears have been replaced with the new updated gears.
I did find a fault with the head assembly and same for a crack in the auto rotation gear. The tail unit was also rebuilt to remove any slop.
Testing will begin hopefully later today.

Burned a gallon of fuel today
Got it all tuned in, the governor and throttle servo were easy to setup. Comparing to the sk540.

The tail holds very well, I did have to soften the tail stop gain about 2% .
Considering that I'm using a v1 cnc tail rotor.

Nitro rules again !!!!
