I’m building a large scale heli that needs a good torque and good speed servo. I’m looking at the Hitec HS-7950TH HV Servo. The only thing is they don’t list the pulse width anywhere. Would I operate it at 1520? Or maybe there might be a better servo out there?

I read the neutral point is adjustable. Don't know if the default is 1520 or 760 though. But I'm sure they'll sell you a fancy programmer that only costs a lot would get you set up right.

That is a standard pulse servo (1520) and overkill in torque even for a large scale heli. Just because the heli is large doesn't mean it needs THAT much more torque for the tail, remember the tail authority for scale flying won't need to be as high as in a 3D heli especially since the tail will simply be 'weather veining' most of the time. 10kg/cm would be plenty and the faster the better, sub 0.10.

Savox will have something with better specs like the Savox SB-2275MG HV for a lower cost but as it is a big expensive heli I would spend a little more and go for something in the Futaba range.

60% of the time, it works every time!

Large Size Scale??
When you say large, what size are we really talking about??
Blade lenghts would be helpful..
Also, is it a multi blade main and tail rotor
My H34 swings 4 1050mm mains and 4 150's on the tail.. I have a 400 in/oz @ .10 JR servo on the tail. The total weight is 47lbs..
I would also suggest that you stay with a Futaba or JR servo as recommened im the prior post..
Good luck with your build
