Are these 1005 kits still supported with parts availability? I have a chance to buy 2 of these helis, 1 lightly used the other not assembled, and about $3000 in parts [according to seller] for $600. Is this something worth purchasing? I've been out for about 10 years and want to get back at it.

Thanks in advance!

You can still get some parts through Miniature Aircraft but realize that they are now in Germany if you didn't know that already. I have not dealt with them but have not heard of any issues with them either. Not sure how much shipping from Germany would be. The US distributor does not seem to be very active with the brand unfortunately.

You still can get some parts through the classifieds here as well as on eBay, but with two helis and that many parts(hopefully the seller is being honest) I suspect you'll be covered. Sounds like a great deal! If you can, show us what all you get in your haul.

I have bought several times from MA in Germany. Shipping costs and delivery times are not much different that when MA was in the US.

The older I get, the fewer things seem worth waiting in line for.

But, are they supporting the old machines like the 1005?

rerebel, you should jump on the 1005's. It sounds like a great deal, especially with a new kit.

Excellent Fury
I have an excell fury that I bought years ago and have never flown it. It has a YS 80 in it and has never seen a drop of fuel. It has a GY601 Gyro in it along the all digital servo's. I built and never flow it. Belive I have $2500 in to it when I built it. What do you all think I can get for it if I sell it? It also a GV-1 in it.

I bought the very large pile of MA helis and parts from Scott. All of the stuff arrived today and was exactly as advertised. The packing was excellent and nothing was damaged. The shipping was very quick. The best part of the deal was that Scott kept in touch throughout advising me where we were at in getting the stuff to me. I would do business with Scott anytime without any reservations. Absolutely now worries when dealing with Scott. I would have posted this in the classified feedback for Scott but was unable to do so as the stuff was not advertised in the classified section of RR.

Parts are still available for these, I have one. I think you could get upwards of $1000 for it. Or strip it and sell the airframe, servos, gyro etc. separately, you would get more that way.

60% of the time, it works every time!
