Hi guys what timing are you using with the 4025 motor that comes in the combo with the xlpower 550 and hobbywing esc? I'm looking forward to maiden my 550 this weekend and I couldn't find anything about this motor settings for said esc.

I'm using a Hobbywing 120a V4 there's no option to change it to auto. Frequency is set to 32hrz and cannot be change. It's running hot so I'm going to buy a motor first and test again if that doesn't help I will get a new esc as well. Thanks for checking back.

theres nothing wrong with your temps.. some motors run hot. 160deg is normal..you need more airflow over the esc or cooling fans.
im using a 100a on mine and only pull 60a. no fan either, esc is touchable.
motor is hot but didn't check with a temp gun.

too many to list

I'm not worried about the motor is the ESc that I feel runs too hot.

ESC
Hey Dave I'm using a CC 120 HV with the factory motor and with 22.2 Volt in the setup. At all 3 head speeds 2000 to 2300 my ESC only gets warm. I bought the ESC used for 110.00 and I'm extremely happy with that setup.

I was going through the set up again and realized that i did not set the low and high under the Ikon governor settings and it says that it is necessary whether you plan to use the gov or not, i will fly it Sunday maybe that will have some positive effect on it.
