I put a helical main gear on my 700N. Now I'm wondering if I need the 3rd bearing.

Whenever I do a full-pitch climb-out, the heli shakes like crazy. If I use less pitch, it's fine. It's not the kind-of shake you get when the gyro gain is too high. I know what that looks/sounds like. This is different.

Is the angle on the gear trying to bend my main shaft?

I don't know about the gear trying to bend the shaft

But, I never flew my T700N with the slant-gear main without the 3rd bearing, so I cannot say if it would have been bad without it.

Believe 1/2 of what you see and none of what you hear.
