KevinChiu123, are you still working on that new unit you told me about? Would be good to hear from you and how that machine is going. Not a lot has been going on in the RC helicopter world! Every one must be flying kites or just playing chess!

Hi, yes.

By the way, I just talked to the owner of Kingtech turbine a couple of days ago. He says that he has been too busy recently to work on the Heli engine unit for mass production.

However, personally, I am working on a conversion kit so as to install K-45-TP airplane engine unit.

Thanks a lot for your concerns.

Keep you posted later.

Best regards,

On the other hand, I met a person whose name is Jimmy Lai.

He is the Deputy CEO of Thunder Tiger in China.

He told me that their company bought Wren last year.

I am not sure about this piece of News.........

I plan to visit Thunder Tiger and Skymaster (owner is also from Taiwan~ Mr. Lin, Yao-Tin) in the near future. Both companies are in China now.

What I said was~ the company Thunder Tiger in China purchased the ownership of Wren company in UK.

This was what I heard from Jimmy Lai, person to person.

I am not sure whether this saying is real or not~

Furthermore, I took this picture while Mr. Chung (the person at the right) visited our flying field. Mr. Chung is the President of Gaui.

He told me~ hey, Kevin, you might need to think about building a turbine heli conversion kit on Gaui X7.

I said~ this is a good suggestion.

Align with Wren 44
MD-8 with Wren 44
MD-8~ triple blades with Jetcat Spt-H-5

MD-8~ triple blades with Kingtech K-45-TP~ ongoing project......

Gaui X7 and
XL of China
>>>>> might be projects in the future.

Hi Kevin, just got 4 belts from Vicky at Gaui today for my Century G20 which you cannot find from any of the dealer,s So thank,s to Mr Chung that I can get belts from his company. What about Mr Chung doing a scale kit with a Wren turbine, with your engineering design! that would be a ground breaker.

Hi, Keron:

Personally, I strongly recommend Servo King.

My Pht-3 has 4 servos~ ServoKing 690 (30kg torque, each). Thus, I have total 120 kg torque on swash plate. (You shall have my pictures, right?)

I use ServoKing 685*3 and 698 for tail on Align 760 EP heli. These servos are too fast for turbine/s.

On the other hand, I also use Align, Expert, and JR servos.

I think ServoKing has the best customer perceived value even this brand is quite expensive.

For inexpensive ones, Expert 4501*3 and 2201*1 is a great combination.
They are also very nice servos.

For your need, I think you have to figure out the frequency requested for servo installation.

Good luck.

Keron, just a little help on the servo,s buy high end Hitec hv servo,s and for the FBL I would run a 3cx from Germany on a turbine as the unit can run with very high frequency from the turbine, most other FBL unit,s reboot and at that stage you have lost the model. hope that help,s a bit
