Hi guys,

I am in the process of getting the Vario Ch53 fuselage, it will eventually be an electric bird not turbine, but then since Vario makes the super stallion version which is happened to be a 7-blades rotorhead in real thing, I thought why to go with Vario 6-blades rotorhead, better go with 5-blades rotorhead since going with 6-blades rotorhead is not scale to begin with at least for the super stallion version, and the R/C model version of the 7-blades rotorhead is not available to make the bird true scale.
You might be wondering the reason for me to take 5-blade route, it is actually simply the cost and also to decrease the stress on the mechanics system as a whole.
But I still wants to hear different opinions on this matter, what do you guys think ? am I right in this thinking process ??
Any inputs is highly appreciate it !.

I didn't fly my Vario Skycrane much, but may be I can share a little.

You are saying the 6 blades head is not scale anyway so you are looking at the 5 blades head to reduce stress in the system.

IMO, I don't think the incremental stress of 1 blade is that much(a feeling not scientific), secondly Vario has an upgrade on the mechanics where 2 main gears and 2 one-way bearings are there to share the loading. A nice gentlemen pointed me to this for turbine version but I am not sure if it is the same for other versions.

I would buy cheapest head money could buy to get the heli flying and hopefully someone will make a 7 blade scale head for it and upgrade down the road.

I like this idea very much, it makes alot of sense, although I dont think down the road any one will make the 7 blades rotorhead specially considering the whole market is leaning toward damned drones.

But I will still go with this idea any way, well thank you very much.
Also to add, The 5-blade rotorhead is odd and the 7-blade rotorhead is odd as well ,so the closest to the 7 is 5 not 6 since in 6 rotorhead, each blade is facing the opposing since its even distribution, but in 7 and 5 is not the case.

True that !, although I am going with electric motor and I am not sure either if other Vario electric mechanics has this on them, plus I am not planning to use the Vario mechanics, I truly believe the price tag for them/mechanics is over priced big time !

True, but If you are buying the blades from Vario they will come balanced.

You need to ask this in the scale section. You'll get much more info as there are guys who have built that model. Also, scalerchelis.com is a great place for all things scale.

Go with 5 blades. No one is going to notice at the field anyways. More blades more power ,less run time.
