I am in the process of building the N7. It seems that the canopy doesn't mount up as I have seen in some build videos. I attached all the hardware on to the canopy and it just doesn't line up. The white grommets pretty much came apart. Thinking of upgrading to the booya canopy mount hardware. Any one have any suggestions. It looks like I may need to make adjustments to the front post area. As the factory area doesn't allow the canopy to slide back enough for the key chain to go into the post. Any one have any suggestions. Maybe some thoughts all what I may have done incorrectly.

Did you ream the holes in the canopy prior to installing the canopy grommets?

Yes I had to the key chain post wouldn't fit. I ream the holes out until the post fit through the canopy freely.

Yeah, you need to ream those holes to about 9mm for the grommets to fit and the keychain mounts to go through and line up. Putting some grease on the keychain mounts really helps, too.

Thanks, I order some additional grommets from Amain on Saturday. Now my other issue is getting the geometry right on my throttle setup. Anyone with any pictures on how they did their's?

I reach a point where I stop looking at the manual. My mistake. Thanks for pointing that out to me.

The two biggest takeaways are to keep the servo horn on the throttle servo parallel to the one on the carburetor and to set the distance of the balls to the center of rotation at 16mm (or as close as you can get).

Well everything is hooked up and working. I using the Ikon2 for the flybarless controller. Only thing left is to figure out, how I want to do the glow on it. I have a switchglo and it is working. Just need to figure out a good place to mount it and where to hide on the wiring. And to double check all screws and bolts are tight.

obsolutely. This isn't my first rodeo. First synergy. I have another question though. What is everyone doing for a switch for power on and off?

Got my new grommets. Ream the holes out to 9mm, like suggested. Wish I'd ask that question previously. The canopy fits very nice now. Now just waiting for switch to come. I order from perfect regulators. About ready for the maiden flight.

That's great, glad it fits well now! Best of luck on the maiden! Love my N7, it has the most flights of any of my helicopters.

Motor should be almost broke in. It was pulled from a Trex 700n I crashed in March. Electronics and motor - the receiver the only surviving components. The motor has about 1 1/2 gal of nitro through it. At the time I decided it wasnt worth putting money in the Trex 700n. It was a flybar v1 I converted to flybarless. It was starting to become difficult figuring out what parts work on it. That with all the different versions of the Trex 700. I thought it was time to upgrade. I’ve always had a Trex or Thunder tiger. I decided I needed to broaden my horizon.
I always wanted a synergy N7. I decided to go for it. Should be a awesome ride.
