So this seems to be a thing now, where staffers leak information, then fake who it came from, but now they do it as a way to get back at others... IMHO, if your doing this for personal reasons and not to inform the public cause its violating law, or the constitution, you should have your innards ripped out...
The most “prolific” White House leakers will impersonate each other so they won’t be suspected of leaking, according to Axios. The Daily Beast also confirmed the use of the tactic among leakers.

“To cover my tracks, I usually pay attention to other staffers’ idioms and use that in my background quotes. That throws the scent off me,” one White House source told the site.

Other leakers were quoted as saying they shared information with reporters as an easy way to settle scores within the White House, a way to act out on “personal vendettas,” and out of sheer frustration with the leadership.

They also said there was a strategic element involved—whether it be getting an “accurate record of what’s really going on in the White House” out to the public, to “drive narrative,” or to give them an opportunity to win a policy debate.

“By leaking the decision, the loser gets one last chance to kill it with blowback from the public, Congress or even the President,” a source said.

you got that wrong, because from the beginning of time there has never been true Loyalty between thieves. to add, you can have Loyalty for the Covert Narcissist that you think you have known for a lifetime, and in the end he will stab you in the back, you won't even see it coming !!

I agree with you. And it is very, very sad.
I think 'leakers' should be held accountable under the law. Make them sign a clause (figured that they automatically have been..guess I was wrong) Since when did 'leaking' become a heroic thing? Deep Throat?

they do sign their life away... they just dont care, the clause they sign is worthless if its not enforced.
The WH still has too many Obama Clinton stooges hanging on like dry dingle berries... they lie about their loyalty and they lie about their purpose. they do if for personal reasons not remotely connected for the betterment of the country, but rather for selfish reasons.

Off topic here...
I want to make a valid point here:

I help police for 3 years busting serious drug offenses in my area. Now it has been a total waste of time because our courts are all bark but no bite.

The guy I busted was selling meth, marijuana and heroin in a drug free zone to High school kids, Jr High and Grade school.

The loser racked up serious 27 felonies of all various, the court dismissed all charges except 3. Those 3 charges carry each 3 years in prison, so 9 years.....what did the courts give the loser? PROBATION!

He just went out and purchased a car and now seem to be acting like he is a legal honest citizen going to work.

To this day forward, I will no longer aid police or any forms of law enforcement... as well the courts.

It is all corrupt....I am tired of putting my faith in a corrupt system.

Now, I fly helicopter and hang out with cool people. Screw uncle sam and all his legal methods.

InvertedDude,
that's sadly disgusting !!, and think about how those mother's and father's and teacher's feel, this is when every teacher, every father, and every mother that had a kid in that school should Pick the Governor's office !! don't forget the grandparents too

my cousin down in Tennessee skidded off the wet road in a S10 Blazer, as he was waiting for a truck to come and pull him out a cop came by and stopped, then a women in a Vett showed up and told the cop my cousin hit her and she pointed to a scratch on the running board of the car,, in court my cousin lost out to a sum of $5000, some years later that Judge was put in prison for Cocaine trafficking

you have to be glad you are alive today, because things are going to be much worse in 50 years, then in 100 years ?? wow

Don't get me wrong, what happen to your friend is BS. It is the sad reality of the world we live in. Now, I know something that is 10x worse than most Americans are aware of. Our politicians are involved in child sex offenses. It is disgusting to the upper most of all disgusting crimes. We are doing nothing about it because....money talks.

Isn't this a re-emergence of what was de rigeuer in Europe and UK in the 1800's that the nobility have a bit ( or a quite few bits ) on the side and that a lot of those bits were kids - both sexes depending on their "leaning"
Edit- maybe this was always going on ( Hello "smoking hot" Bill !)
