I have a Gaui X5, ikon FBL unit and a CC Talon 90 ESC. Motor Scorpion HKIII 4025-890KV.

My question is how do you know when your rpm sensor is bad?
No setting change to esc or ikon.

Old pilots never die they just fade away

Never had to troubleshoot that problem, but you might know if you unplug it and the heli a ts the same as it does when its plugged in.
Or buy a new $5 sensor and swap them out.

If you have another heli running a HW sensor, switch them with each other and see what happens.
