hey guys ?? so was there 2 different Back Plates for the OS 70SZ-H ??

I have the part number for it's Gasket set ( 27014000 ), and the Manual shows a flat type Gasket, but when I go to order the Gaskets all the sites show an O-ring instead of a flat type Gasket,, and my Engine has the flat Gasket !

what's up with that, was there 2 different Back Plates ??

manual,, scroll down to see the flat Gasket,
http://manuals.hobbico.com/osm/70sz-h-manual.pdf

Tower's photo of the O-ring, both links use the same part number,,

that's just what I am talking about, the other on-line stores ( A-Main, Advantage, Hobby Town, Towers, Graves) all show the same photo with the O-ring

I have what you need. Pay for shipping and you can have all of it. Been sitting in my cave for years...not going to ever use it.

There was only one version of the 70SZ engine. I have had several since it was released 18 years ago. So all of them use a flat back plate gasket. What Tower hobbies shows on the photo is actually the
O-ring and lower shim for the carburetor but the part number 27014000 actually belongs to the back plate flat gasket/head shim set.
There is a mistake on the Tower hobbies photo.

I agree, you can see in the photo that the washer is too wide for a head shim

thanks !
