Semi Rebuilding YS91ST Engine with Hatori Pipe
Can someone point to me when a check valve or fuel pressure diaphragm needs replacing? This is my first YS91 big block engine. I have always tuned 30 to 60 engines.

Right now I am replacing a few parts at the moment due to hairline cracks in various places.

Crankcase block (Used)
Head (New)
YSE2710 YS Engines Needle Detent 2x (New)(mine came missing)
YSE4830 YS Engines Carburetor Gasket (New)
YSE4850 YS Engines Carburetor Subplate (New) (hairline crack)
YSE2510 YS Engines Check Valve: All Helicopters (New)
YSE2460 YS Engines Diaphragm (New)
YSE2445 YS Engines Regulator Subplate (New)

Bearings/sleeve/crankshaft/piston/rod/wrist are all good.

The only thing I am really concerned about is the fuel regulator. (Don't have enough knowledge on the subject)

YSE4155 YS Engines Regulator Assembly <--How do I know if mine is good?

I would like your help and knowledge so I can get the Ys91ST working well.

Thanks guys!

Make sure the ports in the regulator are clear and you should be good to go since your replacing the diagram.

What you are describing is the fuel inlet and output?

Yes,put some fuel tubing on the nipples and blow through.
Blow through the regulator while depressing the lever,if clogged flush it out with fuel, avoid messing with the regulator adjustments.

The little valve in that image has a small rubber seal the pushes against the end of the inlet to close the fuel off, it can deteriorate and either block the hole or not seal it properly. I find the diaphragms last much longer.60% of the time, it works every time!

I did similar job with my YS91ST.

Carburator is working ok so I don't touch anything.

I had bad experience with OS regulator so I prefered don't mess with it at that time.

Your procedure looks safe.
