The bracket that holds the step (with the 4 bolts), did you mill that from a solid piece or how did you do that, if you don't mind me asking?
Hi...

There is a sample I made shown earlier in this thread.. They are each hand made from square bar (top part) and round tube (underside part). The screws are screwed into milled slots. If you need some, I could give you a price for them (with or without the top post attached) if you let me have some dimensions/scale.

An easier way would have been 3D print them, but they would not have been any where near as tough....

Regards,

David.

Thank you for the info David. I was just curious how you did it. I have a vertical mill and a lathe so I am always interested in how people make parts. Not going to compete with you or anything like that, LOL. I am working on the flat steps for my 800 size AS350 but I am 3D printing them, at least for now. I also TIG stuff together too.

Really nice work David.

JJ.

I would be interested to see how the 3D print of the bits works out.. May I ask what Scale does the 800 size equate to 1/7th - 1/6th?? (What is the fuselage length/width)

Completed!!

I will ship these off to Mr B. in the US of A shortly. I hope he will be happy.

The only major change from the original drawing was to replicate the original machines front steps!!
