I have long been a fan of the 600 sized machine...it was always just the right size for me in terms of visibliity, transport, and capability.
Now, it seems that Helidirect and parent distribution arm Prestige have all but stopped carrying the staple of the lineup: the Align Trex 600.
Is this a discontinuation by Align? Or just a smart stocking move by an important distributor?
Any insight?

Don't know. Final answer.

Some guessing: They may be waiting for the release of the 600XN - if it in fact it exists. It seems AMain also is not listing any Align 600s.

You can add them to cart at GrandRC.

So the 450,500,550,600,700,800 thing was I think kind of started by align to more define electric helis than nitro....

So anyway I don't know anything about the future of 600 50 size but if your looking for a new heli you need to see the new lightweight 50's

Indeed the Synergy N556 looks nice. I saw the majority of them currently in existence at the Birmingham flyinn 3 weeks ago and they were really rocking with an OS 55HZ-R and Rail 556 blades. Basically it looked like a bulletproof 30 with a 50 class engine. Matt had one that he absolutely beat on all day. He'd filler 'er up and fly it until it literally ran out of fuel. The first few times I heard it quit in the middle of a flight I looked over. By the end of the day, it didn't warrant a glance.

In a conversation with Matt he told me that the N556 will be capable of being stretched to a 600. Conversion will require a longer boom, TT, push-rod etc. Additionally a new pinion will be available and the engine can be shimmed forward for proper gear mesh.

It is a helicopter worth serious consideration.

Just know that they aren't available yet so anyone recommending the N556 either has never built or flown one and is only recommending them based on the reputation of Synergy, or is a rep.

GrandRc has major stock of 600s even the oldest basic kit. I dought the 600 class is phasing out. With the release of the n556 soon and the align 600 is truly I great machine my favorite. It just flys and takes a beating. 600 class has always been best for me due t9 size and more the pricing of parts blades ect.... nitro is no where near dying if anything it's getting more popular again. With the release of the 700xn and soon the n556. I recently got the 700xn and the pricing of parts isn't so bad but compared to a 600n it adds up. Goto grandrc there's everything you could want....

Not sure why this was moved as it was not a vendor specific observation.
Likely that GrandRC and others have existing stock, what will happen when the 10 or 15 kits in stock or gone is the question. If the dealers who sell Align helis no longer list the 600 because they can not get them, what does that say?
This was intended to be a general observation, not a look at one single vendor.
And I love that Matt has the new 556, but that's really a 550 native ship, which almost all other vendors made a stretch conversion for.
I'd be interested if anyone in the know DOES KNOW FOR SURE if Align is retooling the 600 for an update release......

I don't know why it got moved my intention WAS NOT to advertise what so ever. I seen a picture on Facebook of one of aligns pilots holdng a 600xn I guess you would call it but that was a while ago not sure of any progress. I don't know why they would get rid of the 600e as it's already a direct to swash kit. And a great heli for that matter. All there 600s I like. I've been strictly 600 align for years untill recently getting the 700xn... I guess we will see what the future holds?... Hopefully somebody chime in with some info
