AR7200BX can handle up to 8.4V, so no issues.

Doind a search without the "gray" was fruitless.

Both the Scott Gray Reactor X2 or HVX will work fine with any gyro or flybarless unit

The X2 has a fixed output to the receiver / FBL of 5.2v with an adjustable output to the 3 swash servos of 6.0, 6.8 & direct LiPo battery voltage with an input voltage from 6v to 8.4v

The HVX has 2 adjustable regulators for the receiver and servo sides that are adjustable independently (I think it is 5.5, 6.0, 6.6, 7.5 & 8.4v) with an input from 6v to 17v and it supports up to 4 servos (3 swash + 1 tailrotor).

No matter what the voltage range the Spektrum 7200BX is rated for, the SG Reactor X2 or the HVX will be adjustable to match.

I like the HVX better, because I can use a 3S or 4S 1800mAh on my Trex 700N and it has a nice "fail-safe" on/off switch that can be mounted in a easy to reach location.
I had both the X2 and the HVX.

From the look of your badly scored piston, I would say that motor is pretty much toast......

Been there, done that and old enough to know better.....
