Rojoalfa Ok... So, it is a simple screen failure.
I was thinking on other problems.

In your opinion, that screen needs some sort of foaming or something to avoid vibrations...? If it is easy to remove, it is easy to vibe...
Yes, you can call it a simple OLED (Screen display) failure. Possibly caused by vibrations, but I'm more inclined to believe it's 6 years of no usage ( while in storage ), and it shouldn't be that way. It's all three units that has failed at the same time. Anyways, as mentioned, it's an easy fix and the cost of the parts are approx 40.-USD per display.

The UK part number is; "Y-9M15A02601 gy701 LDC Display (OLED)"
I promised some photos of the fix, see attached;

I tried to save a brand new unit with dead screen by poaching a screen from a controller that seems to be faulty (can't get rid of tail drift). I used a hair dryer to remove the screen from the glue successfully. I then installed the screen in the new unit, only to find that the replacement screen doesn't work all of a sudden. I thought I've made some mistake, and held it under my microscope for close inspection, but found nothing wrong. For no reason whatsoever the screen started working. Feeling very chaffed, I switched it off, installed the unit in the casing, and powered it up again. Again nothing! This to me is a BEAUTIFUL gyro, but I'm now so frustrated as I've got 2 useless ones. Ordering the mentioned UK part number is yet another gamble I'm not sure I should take due to South Africa's 'fantastic' exchange rate, making it non-viable. I also cannot get anything similar on Ebay.

My conundrum now is me being in love with it ecstatically, but hating it for depleting my wallet for nothing.

Any deefback on your replacement success, and any idea where one my get some screens a bit cheaper please?

Welcome to the no so distinguished club of Futaba consumers with failed Futaba Oleds in their CGY Gyros. Sorry for your experience.

Unfortunately I believe there is currently nowhere to source Futaba CGY750/CGY701 Oled screens - so you just have to get used to having expensive useless Futaba gyros OR you could buy the new, "cheap" Futaba CGY755 gyro and continue on wards with the successor to you current useless one. Sounds to good to be true, not?

Well... I did rip off gy701 decals from my helicopter's canopy...

This was my first action.

Later on, I will reinstall my gv-1 and gy401... I removed in good conditions... My mistake.

Well, your certainly are not bothering to read the other posts are you !
These screens are NOT made by Futaba, they are a bought in product and that's where the problem is.
The next delivery to me in the UK is scheduled for the end of September 2020 - I have so far had 2 deliveries of these items over the last 9 months, while reading that they are no longer available in these posts.

Complaining about your own problems will not make them appear any quicker.

Good morning,
I most certainly do read other posts, most of which are from the many Futaba CGY750/CGY701 end users with useless gyros, expressing their frustrations with the product support (lack of).

I've also read posts that talks about future (possibly) and historical availability, none however about current stock and/or repair service availability.

I've also addressed the Futaba support (lack of) and OEM responsibilities with regards to the broken Oled (displays). To the end user, it has no relevance whether it's a sourced component or not - it's a Futaba product and that's really all the end user should have to deal with.

As I've also said in previous posts, as you may have noticed, I've ordered the items from a German shop that at the time showed availability and they are awaiting supply from Ripmax Germany - which I believe is the official Futaba representation.

The problem will not go away - until there is a responsible product support to these expensive problems.

I did buy a FUTABA product.

I really don't care if OLED screen was Chinese, bolts were for Germany or circuits were from Mars...
That is not my problem!!!

My concern is very simple.

I need a FUTABA part and customer support don't care.

You're right - There are plenty of us CGY750/CGY701 customers that's been left in the dark (literally). Diverting the problem away from the responsible OEM is not going to fix to this issue. These are not cheap little gyros from some Chinese manufacture - though it may appear as if they were.

The problem is NOT going to go away, unless the responsible part (Futaba) steps up to its responsibility and provides a service to fix it. Simple as that.

Throwing a successor on to the market (CGY755) and leaving behind a faulty product is piss poor style to be frank.
