Re-beginning 500 sized electric heli recommendation?
Hi all, been a while since I've flown (like 5 years). I used to have a trex 450, and was working on loops and inverted hovering before we moved and I had to drop the hobby. But now we've moved again and I want to get back into it.

Looking for a 500 sized electric (the 450 was too small to track) that ideally works with some kind of panic recovery (like BnF SAFE)- I spent way too much money on parts after crashing when I was learning. Even after practicing with PhoenixRC. Hoping that technology has advanced enough to prevent or minimize that (?).

What are some recommendations to get going again? I don't mind spending money for a quality machine that will save me money over the long run, but I don't want to waste money either.

Thanks!

Cool, thanks! Do either of those support panic recovery or SAFE options- not sure what you call it. Or is that a pure BnF thing?

It is the FBL unit that will support the rescue depending on which one you buy .spending time, paying attention

Funny guy.

FBL with bail out-rescue mode;
Bavariab Demon 3SX or Axon (been around the longest)
BeastX Plus (cost extra to enable feature)
Brain Ikon (my next choice unit, never tried one)
Spirit (just works...had to write something in here)

They all suffer from your reaction (delay) time to toggle switch plus distance to hard deck.
