Never was a big fan, but then again I never read his work. However, my respect for him is enormous. To go thru what he has for that amount of time....and to continue to contribute to human learning and science, he will always have my respect and admiration. Rest Sir, you have more then earned it. Be at peace now. God bless you and your family.

I think Hawking and I were pretty close in our thinking about the universe.

Example: while he was unraveling the string theory I was staring at a ball of twine...a coincidence? I think not.

yeeaa well that's all good and great, but I, little Ol me, have figured out the meaning of life, and it's much, much too simple for a genius to think-out, here it is, I will tell the world now, >> without life, the Universe would be>>>>>>>>> "meaning less"

it's that simple

Dilbert,
I recall there was a significant controversy over wether the strings were a bunch of short thin squiggly lines, or a bunch of squiggly odd shapped anemic sickly looking spaghetti rings.

I like spaghetti, wether strings or O's, but i am glad you were able able to unify the string into a single ball, concentrating the mass in a way that gives it actual impact needed to settle the ferocious theoretical food fight once and for all.

Sounds familiar. I think i have heard of him. Is he the one that says there are 2 more dimensions, and the strings really are hollow 1/4 toroid shaped? Father of Macaroni theory?

He got in a messy fight with Mayor McCheese. The kids loved it.

Hehehehe.
