I sure miss being able to buy parts for My Rads from any number of online shops... especially Rons...

Nothing better than buying 3 or 4 clutch bells, 5 shafts, 2 frames and a gear or two then sorting them according to run-out and other manufacturing boo boos...

you had it made when your heli was on the Cover of RC Heli Mag... made gassers cool and almost mainstream among RC helis then you went and screwed it all up.

RIP Century... you had a good run.

showing a preference will only get you into trouble, 90% of everything is crap...

So Century is gone now? A Hawk was my first heli and I stuck with them for many years. I never really had any quality problems and it was hard for me to say goodbye but that first Logo put the writing on the wall for me.

RIP ROMAN

I gave up on them back in the mid-1990s after a bad experience with an order. I'm surprised they lasted as long as they did.

Same here, as a dissatisfied early customer I refused to deal with them ever again.
The only way I got them to deal with the problem was to threaten to publish the details here on RunRider.
Here is a link, way back in 2006, Century Swift.

I think about the hereafter. I go somewhere to get something, then wonder what I'm here after ?

They didn't listen to their customers or take care of them.
They even went as far as screwing their distributors by under cutting prices.
When they kept re-using old kit parts for new kits, I knew that was the end...

I guess that new factory either didn't go as planned or someone in management quit.

A good example of how good things turn bad.

spending time, paying attention

I think he sold all his century stuff???

I still have my Rads... and enough crap left over to make a third model.

To this day its rare that I dont have some sort of issue at the field with them... they are like the Harleys of rc helis... $hit falls off em in flight... they rattle... hard to get parts for... sometimes they dont run right... poor customer service and an attitude problem at every dealer... you know the usual.

Im stuck with them... more trouble to try to sell vs simply keep. Id have to sell everything RC heli wise to pay for a Goblin gasser kit... and basically start over.

Not being a fanboy cheerleader or anything, but I've had very little problems with my Predator gasser. I have the Hanson 3DMax on it so maybe better for vibrations than a stock motor. Other than doing a crown gear shim on it I've had no issues. Lucky I guess...
