Yeah, my buddy bought that heli and it never showed up. Apparently it was destroyed in shipping. All worked out though but he is still looking for a gasser as well.

So, it has been said that Bergen still offers support for the intrepid gasser line. So am I safe to assume that if a person needs any parts, that they will be sent out in a reasonable time frame, reasonable to me is a few days from order to being sent from Bergen. IMO that is my definition of Supported.

We certainly try, some days (weeks) are busier than others, so it may not be as immediate as some would prefer...

So, is Bergen the last manufacturer of gasoline powered helicopters on this side of the planet?

On the fence about buying another Bergen Gasser, Sooner or later they all go in and and I wanna know 100% that Im gonna be able to keep it flying for years to come and not wait weeks on end for parts arrival. Not sure I get that warm fuzzy feeling about pulling the trigger quite yet.

In that case, you'll never feel comfortable about buying anything...... no manufacturer is going to "guarantee" they will be around for years and years to come......

Been there, done that and old enough to know better.....

IMO if you like a certain model that much ...
Buy 2 kits and as many crash parts as you can afford.

Miniature aircraft is gone and so is thunder tiger. Nothing lasts forever.

Correct. How many US Heli manufacturers have gone by the wayside the last few years? ALL of them, save one.

Can I guarantee what I'll be doing a year from now? Nope. Neither can you. That's life. If you worry about tomorrow, you won't enjoy today.

Just a note, we no longer sell "kits". All models are now sold as built, test flown models.

I bought a used twin observer about 4 years ago, flew it for awhile with camera for fun and then converted it to a standard industrial twin and I fly the SH!T out of it for what it is, loops, rolls, flips, etc....if I ever do pile it in or blow a motor etc and either need to rebuild it or convert it to a single cylinder I trust Chris will be cranking out parts and support for awhile yet....buy, fly, and enjoy..
