Why are US kids angered so easily? Bad parenting? Some are spoiled rotten little sh!ts for one. Don't know the feeling of a hard days work. Not challenged enough. Impatient. Demand instant gratification.

All these kids want adults to do something. It is kids shooting kids. Why don’t they do something. They know who the dangerous kid is among them. All they need to do is tell adults. Not one, but ten or more if need be. They need to take some responsibility.

Cultures across the world are vastly different. I saw a very interesting show a few years back contrasting teen pregnancy in Holland VS the US.
In the US the majority of parents still subscribe to a no sex until 40 or 50 years old, don't even think about it...

In Holland the attitudes of teen sex are of course very different. If the kid wants to, he or she can have their boyfriend or girlfriend stay over, have breakfast with the family in the morning and nobody says boo about it.

Interesting thing is the rates of unintended pregnancy are a small fraction in Holland VS the US. I don't recall the number but it truly is a small fraction (10% ish?) of what it is in the US.

Cultural failure? Stupidity? Inability to handle responsibility? It probably surprises no one here that US teens often do the opposite of what we would hope and expect.

I blame a culture of teaching kids they can't handle responsibility.
Laws and responsibility don't really matter anymore. Our Govt gets away with massively obvious obstruction, can't even discuss a budget... twist this, spin that... bathroom guidance from Obama?... wow, and they are going to solve all our problems?

I hate getting info from wikipedia but I dont have a better source at this point. So, Canada and Mexico. If we apply the same parameters (deaths>3), shooter (<20).
Canada:
2 shootings in 1975 and one in 2016.
Mexico:
None

Go figure.

What if the subject were pet store murders? Oh look! no pet store murders in Juarez, what a golden place! Let's do what they do there! Or not.

Kids deaths are emotionaly charged, (useful feature for politicians) but that does not override relavence or magnitude of everything else no matter how badly you want it to, or how much the media beats the dead horse.

If you want to discuss Juarez violence you can always start your own thread/topic.
As I was saying, I am not talking gun control or guns at all. I am not talking politics per se either.
My question: why teens in the US? I ony included Canada cause I cannot think of something closer. Mexico was just below Canada in the wiki page I read -low hanging fruit. However, even in such violent place, school shootings are pretty rare ......
PS. Not diminishing other issues like gangs, cartels, etc. I am just sticking to the subject being discussed here.

Media. Someone goes nutz, decides to go out in a big way, what is the most henous thing they can do that gets the media cranking away putting them as top headline for weeks?

France news used to announce the number of cars Muslim gangs were setting on fire. Eventually they stopped when they realised they themselves were part of the equation. Our media is a bit more self serving to do any of that. They will milk it to death and beyond.

Youth suicide ^^^^^^
Back to wiki. The suicide rate among teens is higher in Canada and significantly lower in Mex in comparison to the States.
So, Canadian kids snap more often tha US kids. However, they dont go killing people when they want to check out (generally speaking). Is media much differnt in Canada? I really do not know -dont care for Canadian tv (only women )

Of course you are aware of the opioid crisis in the US only. The pharma companies have announced they will no longer promote opioids to doctors any more.

We are the only country with an opioid crisis. Are we in an opioid crisis because the pharma companies in the US promoted their products to our doctors? Was the opioid crisis created simply by marketing?

Now, back to your question. More and more kids are being treated for ADHA and similar stuff.

Doctors are giving really powerful stuff to kids. Is this because the pharma companies are promoting these powerful drugs to doctors?

I know a child being treated with powerful drugs everyday...about a twenty pills a day.

Doctors take the approach of let's give this a try. Oh, that didn't work so good...let's try this. I've seen this child develop "tics" due to the meds until the meds were changed.

Being we are the country in an opioid crisis, I have to ask if we are also the country in a ADHA crisis?

We are giving injections to kids based on what our doctor tells. Are our doctors doing what is right or are they listening to the pharma companies?

I content our doctors failed their patients concerning opioids. I have to wonder if they also failed our children with injections and powerful drugs?

90% of life is "showing up"

I think that Mark Ryder has the answers, and hit the nail on the head. We also need to get rid of Holly Wood, and video games.

I can answer your question. We in the USA have lost our morals , and add to that, the garbage put out by HollyWood, video games, and rap. What do you expect. What a mess we made for ourselves. Nightly movies used to reinforce our family values, God and the rule of law. Now Look!

One more thing, did anyone notice that when the left really started to demand less guns, and more control that there have been more mass shootings than ever before. I am beginning to believe it is more than coincidence. This is what our cia does in foreign countries.

Look guys... please stop using stats for other countries... none of those stats, especially those from Europe, South America, Central America, Asia, Africa and especially the middle east can be verified. Most other countries do not have any remotely reliable method of reporting such instances of crime much less a database from which to filter such data. Half the time its from nonprofit organizations or some sort of social service agency...

yeah... the problem is we have spoiled a$$ kids and garbage parents along with social media being part of the "family" and an addiction to selfishness unlike any other time in our history.

showing a preference will only get you into trouble, 90% of everything is crap...

Yep when you take God out of the equation what we have now is on about par for the course. If this Country does not turn from its evil ways it's going to get a lot worse than this.

Got to have my cup of heli in the morning.
