I picked up a kds 5.5 awhile back but still haven't flown it yet and almost changed my mind on it now and thinking about selling it.
I am thinking about the.new synergy 516 kit or the logo 480 maybe the x5 v2 looking for input on any of these kits .

I have read that the logo 480 can get 6 to 7 minutes flights with mild 3d. I don't know about the 516 or the x5 v2

So I am just looking for some good and bad feed back on these models to help me decide on the one to buy.

I like a light setup and the kds 5.5 is not i think its around 8 pounds but not a 100% on that i haven't weighed mine yet .

I can not speak for the logo, however with my wifes Goblin 420 she gets 8-9 minutes of flight with some loops and rolls.

Logo 480 is a great heli
I love flyin mine..I fly hard for 4.5 min.; can't rip the blades off this thing it's really fast so I don't know if you would like it for slower flying..maybe go a little bigger 550sx?

I do a great decending funnel!

If you have second thoughts on the 5.5 do like UtahBob suggested and strip it and put the electronics in a Logo 550. Motor KV should be correct from the 5.5 to the Logo too.

I like flying my 5.5 a lot, however the Outrage 550 gets more air time.

That's what I'm leaning towards is the 516. How much does yours weigh in at and what's your setup

Lighter or smaller ? IMHO, there is a marked difference between a 480-520 bladed heli and a 550-570. A gentle reminder to compare apples with apples ?

If it is all about weight, the Logo range is probably hard to beat. The Logo 550SX is about 400g lighter than the KDS 5.5.

My choice would be the Trex 500X. It's a bit smaller than the ones you mentioned but cheaper to repair and you can stick a 5s 4000mah pack in it straight out of the box and get 8 minutes+ mild 3d, actually ide like to bet 10 minutes!

60% of the time, it works every time!

I fly the Gaui X5 and get 5 1/2 minutes on my 4000 mah packs (usually end at 34% battery). I run 510s on the X5. She feels pretty light and is such a performer.

Synergy 516 or the new XLPOWER 520 are great choices. Go with the 516 if you want to help an American business.
