Jeep Parts
Hey Guys, my daily driver, 1980 Jeep Cj7 has let me down. I am in desperate need of a t176 or t177 tranny. I bought one from someone that said it was good, but after tear down the gears are shot. tried to get my 250 back and was told no because I took the top cover off. So if anyone can point me in the right direction, it would be appreciated. I work in the auto parts business, and have used all my connections to try to find these parts.
They are out there, but the prices range from 600 to 1500. I simply can't afford those. So if anyone can help let me know.
it's better to ask for forgiveness than for permission

Local Jeep forums are the best resource for spare parts. National or Worldwide forums also work, but for something of that size, shipping costs may be prohibitive.

And naturally, Craigslist and eBay work. I've used both of those as well.
