Hi Guy's,

Just want to put it out there that I have had many helicopters over the years, and the one I always enjoy the most is my Shuttle Plus 2. Maybe its me just getting old or becoming intolerant with NEW technology (Flybarless etc, Electrics!) but I can always rely on my trusty os37 sparking into life and never missing a beat and oh my god so cheap to run!!!

Looks fantastic.

Just goes to show that you don’t need to spend a fortune or have much technology to have a lot of fun.

I have over 12 helicopters. I have electric, gasoline, and nitro. I keep grabbing the old Eco 8 when I need a flight fix. It still is powered by a 10 cell nicad and still flybarred. I bought it in 1993 or so.

Yep.....totally agree, something to be said about keeping it simple. All mine has in it is hitec digitals a good gyro and no governor, just a well setup pitch and throttle curve.

I emailed Jeff at hirobofanusa a few weeks ago, and they are in stock. I was going to get one last month, but had some things come up. Would be great to fly a fully supported 30 again!

Great looking machine OzModeller.

I've had a Shuttle in my fleet since they first appeared in 1986. The only drag with the Shuttle or ANY 30 size today is finding an engine. Nobody makes them anymore.

Gents,

All I have done to this is to add the bearings on the mixing arms, thrust race to rotor head, anti-rotation guide and the lighter paddles. I have also used a Raptor 30 tail pushrod modified to fit as the standard one is a little flimsy, also fitted ball links to all surfaces. Threw a Hatori muffler and a set of fiberglass blades and honestly this thing is rock solid no slop whatsoever.

Old school simplicity, old school fun! It doesn't get any better than that. To this day my favorite helicopter out of my fleet of toys is my original Raptor 30!
