Guys from experience with this model ditch the new bell with steel liner and get old bell with blue liner. You have to file a small amount off the gear box but you will gain ALOT MORE POWER you will be amazed. The clutch is slipping. Steel on steel no good. Have you pulled apart your your model yet and seen the black dust and clutch is so shiny it looks like platinum. SLIPPAGE! And just think of of the air your motor is pulling in.

What RPM are people experiencing clutch slippage?

Dodn't get me wrong when it's time I will switch to the traditional liner but I've also never heard of having to modify any parts, my flying buddy crashed his and had to put in a new clutch and it was a simple bolt in no notching or filing parts it's the same hub just one with a steel liner and another with the blue/black liner as a matter of fact it was the hub assembly I had sitting there for a spare on my dfc model

Engine will be screaming at that head speed so you probably won't get slippage. I think for normal folk in the 1700-1900 range they might get slippage.

Yes I agree and I'm not at an actual 2100 more in the range of 2060 it's more stating that there is nothing wrong with this heli I think it's more of personal preferences

Even at 2060 you are outside of the 105's practical RPM range. 1900-1950 should be the sweet spot with this heli and a 105. You will get better rpm consistency.

Nope disagree completely I'm running neo and vcontrol setup and 2060 is what you see when you are on a hover I have my gov gains set pretty good and a few other tricks to maintain the rpm range as best as I can but when you start banging the collective around the only time that engine sees 2060 is when I return to a hover other than that it's around 2000 maybe slightly lower now I did try to set this engine at a lower rpm range and it is at best a pile of crap does not like low head speed no power at all, in my eyes if I had to run this engine in the "1900 practical range" I would never own it. Again personal preferences and now we kinda got off subject

Maybe you were getting clutch slipping at the lower rpms you tried?

Something doesn't sound right anyway. 1900 on this heli is not a low rpm for the motor, it should have loads of power at that speed, if it doesn't it will be something wrong with the governor, tuning or a bad rear bearing or piston ring.

Im not starting a debate here! Change it not I don't care but you will notice a extreme difference. When have you seen extreme liner dust blasted all over shroud bell clutch and frame. Enough said. I NEVER SAID current setup doesn't work cause it does I flew it for long time till I was reccomended trying old one will never go back.

And it is exactly that your opinion and that's what counts and being that I have a 700 nitro pro with 91 os 700n dfc 105os 700xn 105 and I beat the hell out of them equally I see no difference except for the 91 and that's a give me. Never meant for a debate just an opinion just like yours
