So due to the cold temps not allowing me to paint the BO, I have been a tad bored, so I cobbled a thing together this past week.

The inside.......

CASE INTERNAL by Steve Smith, on Flickr

And the outside......

CASE EXTERNAL by Steve Smith, on Flickr

When coupled to my iCharger 308Duo, it safely, quickly and automatically transfers electrons from the anode to the cathode in my chemical energy storage devices.

We all know Ludicrous Speed is well over 88MPH because you can't go plaid and stay under 88. Watch out that Flux Capacitor might just take you somewhere that LiPos and Ichargers don't exist and you might need a bolt of lightning to get you back.

I built a “ Latharious Lapstrapper” once. I know I should have gotten a patent... but never did...
It still runs my Phernortner... but that’s another story....

Hey I like your idea. I bet it'll toast the shiznit out of some Wonder Bread.

I made a similar device a few years ago to help heat my shop. It has 20, 200 watt resistors that'll soak up 2,000 watts total and heat the shop nicely. Some might suggest a battery powered heater in Mississippi has limited value. Ya just say NO to the haters.

Watch at YouTube

I don't want to be accused of blowing my own horn, and at the risk of braggadocio, but I also simultaneously, single handedly, without the aid of government or corporate backing, invented an improved sleeping aid. This thread was the push I needed to bring it to market.

Watch to the end where nothing is finished and nothing catches fire. You'll be sleeping like a 10 year old before it ends.

On serious note, if I had to do it again I might try the above product. I have no personal experience with it so if it doesn't work for our needs, don't blame me. Still, for $75 USD, it seems like the perfect load-cell for discharging batteries. Even though I built a load cell and am extremely happy with it, I'm still tempted to buy one of the above and see how they work.

That thing is big and heavy (about 16" long and weighs 7lbs) and is only rated at 400W without a heatsink.

If I had one I'd probably bolt it to the underside of my bench and never see it again. I wonder what they mean by a heatsink?.?. What would that look like and how big would that have to be? It's marketed to the audio people so a suppose they might know.

Any load cell is going to require "adequate" cooling you obviously can't keep dumping power into something without eventually shedding it.
