Hirobo made a dedicated mixer for their CH47 model, no idea if you can still get it, I think they discontinued the model

I've not seen another unit that will do it (but that doesn't mean there isn't one)

Originally it was all done with mechanical mixing, if you do some searches you may find a schematic. Its fairly complicated but obviously was possible.

Bavarian Demon 3SX (not 3X). Hopefully the Axon soon.
Cool part is that you only use 2 servos on each head (4 servos total for an Electric model).

Works very well!

yes it has... been watching it for a while...

on another note... considering that the Chinook is our (USA) fastest military Heli ( i had two heli pilots here at FT Hood confirm this)...

why has no one tried to make one for the IRCHA speed contest? too complex or not tough enough?

showing a preference will only get you into trouble, 90% of everything is crap...

The CH-53 has it beat, both in speed and payload.

Nope, tried it, did not really work properly. One issue was that if you need any phasing it rotates the wrong direction on one of the heads. There are tuning issues as well. Art was not really interested in taking the time to make it work and fly properly (I tried for hundreds of hours to make it work on a Hirobo tandem).

The Bavarian Demon 3SX is really the gold standard for tandem flying at this time.

AirWolfRC, just for my own information, where did you find information stating that the CH53 was faster than the CH47. I just checked Wiki and they give both the CH53E and the CH47F as having the same top speed, 196 mph, but the CH47F having a faster normal cruise 184 mph, over the CH53Es normal cruise of 173 mph. The 53E does have a 25% higher payload, internal, and a 50% higher payload, external. Not saying you are wrong about the top speed of the CH53, would just like to know where you got that information.

The CH-53K, the new one, has a cruise speed on Wikipedia of 170Kn, 196mph.

With 22,500 HP - - - I hope so
- - that's about 2,000 gph
- - now you see why those fuel tanks are so big

The Army (CH-47) and USMC (CH-53) have been going back and forth on that one for ever.

I spent my time with the 53-D

Thanks, that's a really impressive helicopter. I've always liked watching the 53 fly, especially low level yank and bank maneuvers. I used to have a video of the 53 being demoed in Japan years ago, doing rolls, loops and split Ss.

You were recommended by Phoenix Notar!

I will just take both of you guys okay? I am working on the cash, I realize this is one expensive machine with lot of moving parts. Need to play this game safely!

So, airframe from vario and canopy from vario correct?

Rotorhead from vario, basically everything from vario?

Servos?
Power for electronics/speed control

Blade size, looks like 600mm? 6x 600mm CF blades?

Which packs 10S, 12s, 14s

Bavarian Demon 3SX

What I want to do is to install a few packs parallel? I think this thing has some serious lifting power.
