Is there a reliable way to get MAH used telemetry on todays setups?

I fly with JR. I assume they have a sensor, but do new ESCs have a way to send this data to your TX?

Been flying a lot of FPV and this data is easy to get on the FCs/ESC combos.

Sorry for my laziness.

Thanks in advance and HAPPY NEW YEAR.

Thanks
Hoping for something that works with my Castle JR xbus setup. Will google this if, but don't really care for HF.

Thanks again.

With castle and JR on mAh Telementry. It has been a challenge. What #if cells? I do have a JR voltage Telementry moduel that worked great.

All of the Castle Edge and Ice 2 support Castle Link Live telemetry protocol.
Pretty much anything that can be logged in the ESC is sent out on CCL. The issue is "Now what?"

Same for the Kontroniks and some Hobbywings. There are a couple more too.

I am sure that there are external sensors that are brand-specific that will relay the details back to the transmitter.

But, the MSH Brain 2 / iKON 2 FBL gyros integrate telemetry and remote setup for Futaba, Jeti and Spektrum.
I'm not sure about JR
But, they are bankrupt, so who really cares?

The key to getting the gyro's real time telemetry and ESC telemetry (like mAh used) is that receiver - it needs to be one of the bi-directional serial links (SRXL, X-Bus - etc)

Why is the voltage telemetry not good enough?

I don't see an accurate method of knowing how many MAHrs remain in a partially discharged battery. I do not trust the charge count either.

I know what voltage to land with. I think that it is a far better judge of what is remaining "in-the-tank". Maybe others agree and that is why you cannot find the device.

I fly and build a lot of multi-rotors too! JR is not bankrupt. JR America took over the IP and stock.

I use kontronik telme on my tdr to monitor how much MAH i use dring a flight. It always within 500 (on the high end) of what i put back in according to my charger...

Voltage monitoring works good too... but the issue i have with it is that it can jump around depending on your flying style...

Just my two cents...

FWIW I just use a timer. Sorry that’s probably not helpful.
JR is not bankrupt. JR America took over the IP and stock.
JR Propo is bankrupt. JR America do not hold the IP or stock. The IP and stock are now held by RC Depot in Japan which is where JR America source their stock from.

There are too many variables that affect the total voltage of a flight pack.

What works good for a 12v LiPo (3S) may may work well with a 50v (12S).

But, I set both the mAh consumed and the flight pack voltage warnings in my DX9 - so I kind of get a "pinball machine's" worth of voices, vibrations and beeping when things are not going well.

Both of these details come from the CC Edge HV 120 and are relayed back to the DX9 through the Brain 2 with the Spektrum SPM4649T "quad-copter" receiver.

I also set a timer - just in case the SPM4649T dies.
