I am sure that I'm not alone...
My Father past away yesterday and lost my Grandma exactly one year ago.

It seems as we get older the holidays aren't what they were.

My condolences. My Mom passed December 3rd 19 years ago. Still hurts when the holidays come around. Hang on to the good memories and he will be forever with you.

Thank you for the kind replies.

I have troubles consoling the children they seem more sad than I am. All I can do is hug them and share his memories.

Hopefully next year the kids will have a better Xmas.

I am very sorry for your loss. My Father passed when I was almost 15 and my Mother 12 years later. All that is left is my Brother and Sister.

It does not get me down, as it has been a long time. Every year I pull out the picture books and go thru them with my daughters and wife. They are never truly gone and I can remember them like it was yesterday.

I am 54 now. My daughters are 5 and 9. Life goes on and so do their memories, love, and lessons.

They are always with you, in one way or another.

God Bless you and your family.

Can't tell you not to worry, as that is not possible. But you will be in our prayers.
