I am doing a flybarless conversion on a raptor 90. It has a mechanical head. When I finished programming, if i push the cyclic stick forward the swashplate goes left, pull back it goes right. If i move the aileron stick right the swash goes forward. if I move the stick left, the swash goes back. I tried switching the aileron and elevator servos but that just caused other problems. My DX9 swashplate menu is set on normal. Has anyone had a similar problem and how did you solve it?

if it doesn't fit, make it fit.

Have you double-checked the swashplate type to make sure it is set to H-1 in the iKON software?

Hmm. That's really strange. Have you also verified that the right/left aileron, forward/aft elevator and pitch move in the correct directions in the Transmitter Setup screen?

are you talking about panel 5 in the ikon set-up or the servo monitor on the DX9?

if it doesn't fit, make it fit.

I'm talking about the Transmitter Setup Panel in the iKON software. It might be panel 5 (I don't have it with me at the moment)

In panel 4 where it shows servo 1 as fore and aft pitch and servo 2 as roll for a mechanical setup, that is wrong. You have to plug the aileron servo into channel 1 and the elevator servo into channel 2. I found that out when setting up a Raptor 50 Titan. One of the software development people for Brain said on Helifreak that when he gets a chance he will change that but he hasn't yet. Once you have the servos plugged into the right channels, then go into panel 7 to the button marked servo reverse. Start clicking that button until it reaches a combination that works. There are a bunch of combinations, so keep clicking till you get the right one.

BTW, once you get that straight, in panel 7 the + and- buttons for setting collective pitch travel and cyclic travel don't work for a mechanical mix heli. You have to go into advanced menu and click the Servo botton. That puts you on a screen where you use sliders to set collective pitch travel, to and bottom, and cyclic travel both directions for elevator and aileron.

Thanks Dyehard, that was the solution. The only other problem I noticed which might be normal, is that when I do full stick elevator back, the swash goes back as it should, and then as I move the stick towards neutral the swash starts to level out as it should, and then at about -20 percent stick the swash tilts further back again instead to leveling out. This happens in all four directions.

if it doesn't fit, make it fit.

ps Thanks as well for the tip on adjusting the cyclic in advanced menu-I noticed the adjustments in panel 7 don't work just as you said. I can't tell you how long I struggled with this-just glad now its fixed.

if it doesn't fit, make it fit.
