The way I hear it you have to get the timing down with the double tap.
Definitely a timing issue.
ICUR1-2
Have you seen the time it takes to boot up
You only boot once per day (or less) , so not that bad.

You got to be kidding me! Okay, do these Spektrum engineers take the time to test the product out before making it available to the public? Someone is sleeping on the job! I would fire their ass!

You have no idea what I am actually talking about. So quick to judge me based on your distorted views. Have a good evening my helicopter brother.

Man this is one tough crowd on here, I had one in my hands last night at our club meeting and all I can say is WOW!!! Just think about it ...no more having to drag your computer out to the field to make one crummy adjustment. I'm in with this in the spring.

Man some people really need to take their petty arguments to PM!

Anyway, I see the new V-Bar control will have the same features.

It's Apples and Androids...sorry oranges!

At the end of the day Spektrum radio's got their good name thanks to JR, that partnership ended long ago and Spektrum radios are now 'budget' at best. That said I would have a DX9 as it seems to be the most solid out of them and because there isn't much choice anymore!

60% of the time, it works every time!

I have had mine for a while now. The software updates have seemed to improve the speed and I am slowly getting used to the android part of it. I am an iphone guy so didn’t have the jump on that part. Airware is becoming more familiar too. Bought a Trex 700 from someone and had them email me the DX-9 file to my gmail. hoping to setup gmail on my iX12 and download .smp file directly. That would be cool.

I broke down and bought an "almost new" iX12 from someone on HF.
I have 4 helicopters that need to be converted from DX9 to iX12.

I copied the model files from the DX9 to SD and then imported the 4 models to the iX12.
Neither the voice alerts or the telemetry sensor details transferred.
This is documented in the manual - so it is no surprise.

After using the DX7 and the DX9 for the last 10 years, the iX12 software is not too hard to understand or follow.
They maintained the basics and the menus have a passing relationship with the DX9, so they can be figured out.

I am moving slowly and starting with the Goblin 380.
I want to understand the "system" before I fly the bigger heli.

There are annoying little issues related to the switches and their functions (like resetting the timer to start over is simply pushing the "Clear" button on the DX9 and I have to assign a switch to that function on the iX12).

Also, the telemetry screens are much more cluttered than the same telemetry screens on the DX9.
I need to figure out how to remove telemetry sensors that don't belong (like "Altitude" and "Airspeed" ).

The Android side is ok. It is typical Android and uses the typical Android features and functions.
I use my iPhone's "Personal Hotspot" to provide a WiFi connection for the iX12 at the field (but that is more of a gimmick right now. The novelty will wear off).
Using the Android apps for model stuff is nice. But, the MSH Brain2 allows full access to its setup via the Airware telemetry, so the Android Brain app is kind of redundant.

I am sure I will become more comfortable with it.

The manual is better than the DX9.
EG: At first, I couldn't get any voices from Airware.
The manual has an FAQ section that included the exact steps need to solve that problem.

Believe 1/2 of what you see and none of what you hear.
Fake News will be the downfall of our Republic!
