You said it two days ago...Gary has been saying it for years. No one, or so few,
want such. They want screaming ba**s to the walls' power/headspeed for ??????

LHS flying is and can be so nice, but soooo many consider it boring.

The reason I've been saying it is because it is, in fact, more aerodynamically efficient. Slow the rotor down so you're closer to the best L/D for the blades. Same reason, for the same head speed, adding more blades for a scale ship uses more battery.

It's kind of surprising that we use higher head speed these days than we did back in the flybarred days when we actually needed higher headspeeds to get the response we liked!

Remember when the one of the big selling points of FBL was longer flight times? Ha, yeah, then we got greedy and cranked the HS up and actually REDUCED flight times!

60% of the time, it works every time!
