So the verdict for the illegal that shot and killed Kate Steinle basically gets an acquittal.

the entire jury IMHO should be shot for utter stupidity and ignorance of the law along with the defense AND prosecutor whom couldnt even prove water is wet... the judge should have his nuts pulled off by rope for not declaring a mistrial given the obviousness that this dip$hit killed someone... and the minimum charge should have been negligent homicide given the fact it was a stolen gun, he was an illegal and didnt have a licence to carry, and couldnt carry to begin with given his record AND citizenship status.

how you can simply walk with eye witnesses, with a stolen gun, from a career criminal illegal, after shooting a girl in the back and them claim the gun simply went off when he touched it? A Sig Sauer with a 6.5lb trigger pull? then proceeds to throw it into the water and run away (clear indication of knowing what he did)

WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry, concern is not given when the shooter is not white...pure racism.

...because he intentionally pulled the trigger...

the gun didnt fire itself... not with a 6.5lb trigger pull... and not from a DA/SA semi-auto with a sear that must move at least 1/4 inch (trigger must move with a force of 6.5 lbs for 1/3 inch total) before releasing pulling the sear to then release the hammer and fire the gun.

if I was holding a gun that "accidentally" fired and killed someone 1/2 mile away... I would still be liable for that persons death, and would be charged with at a minimum involuntary manslaughter under either constructive manslaughter or gross negligence.

he got nothing. and gets to walk... and since he cant be tried again (double jeopardy) the Feds cannot try for the same penalties involving murder nor manslaughter.

Federal immigration officials said they will try to deport Garcia Zarate. He had been deported from the United States five times prior to Steinle's death.
.
Lot of good deportation does.

I think about the hereafter. I go somewhere to get something, then wonder what I'm here after ?

DOJ issues arrest warrant for undocumented immigrant acquitted in Kate Steinle killing

A federal warrant has been issued for the arrest of a Mexican immigrant acquitted Thursday evening of murder charges in the 2015 killing of Kate Steinle.

"We're looking at every option and we will prosecute this to the fullest extent available under the law because these cases are tragic and entirely preventable," Sarah Isgur Flores, the department's director of public affairs, said on "Fox and Friends."

Maybe he's just a really poor shot.
But he also got off on involuntary manslaughter, which at the MINIMUM, this SURELY is.
They'll release him and he'll be back over the border within a week.

I don't know what you people truly know about court, well it's rather simple, you listen to 2 sides of the story, and if you are a good person you put aside what you think beforehand is true and you go by ONLY what you hear in those 2 stories, then you decide guilty or not,,,,,

as I was told, so as I know, the boy said "said", he picked up a shirt on a bench, a gun dropped out of the shirt and hit the ground and fired off,,

now my question is, what did this supposed witness say ?? I tried to find it on the Net but I can't

Regardless of the verdict....

It couldn't be proved that the scumbag put the weapon to her head and pulled the trigger.

But, wasn't it a stolen govt. weapon?

In the cloth it was wrapped in, why did he pull the trigger?

And, after 6 deportations, why was this scumbag in our country?

Instead of in a grave courtesy of the Juarez cartel?

thats BS... I had A Sig Sauer X5.... you can throw that thing off the roof of a house and it aint gonna go off.

witnesses claimed he then kicked it after it "spontaneously" fired into the ocean (or threw it?) but it didnt go off then? then proceeded to run away?

He pulled the trigger and the gun fired... PERIOD. the bullet killed an innocent bystander, therefore this is negligent manslaughter at a minimum. the only people on the planet that dont know what a handgun is or how one fires are normally children under the age of 4.

Even if you remove all other attributes of the case such as his record, status, whos gun it was and where and how it was found, the truth is the gun fired as a result of his manipulation of the gun and resulted in a dead girl... and that equals manslaughter

RM3, don't try to belittle me, I am NOT standing up for the kid !! just asking questions !!, I have been terribly back stabbed before and been in court because of it, so I have learned to look at things from 2 sides, and too add guns do and have shot off when dropped, I know my gun can if the hammer is not locked, note I said hammer, not trigger,, and I know nothing about the gun in question,

so if I was setting in court my next mature and neutral question to myself after hearing your statement,
but it didnt go off then?
would be, at that moment he kicked it did the gun have a live round in it ??

missing his point. He's saying that the design of the trigger in that particular gun makes it impossible to go off without being deliberately pulled, which is the case in most common double action triggers today.
Lets not forget, the gun was STOLEN out of a federal vehicle... and he gave three different accounts as to how it went off.

No I wasnt Gear... as stated by Fla Heli Boy.

IMHO this case was doomed from the start due to California's stance and the Judges obvious hatred toward the current administration... by not allowing the criminals past be part of the jury consideration (nor was it allowed in court)

Quite honestly I think the jury was very bias as well or plain stupid. No one in their right mind could nor would have allowed this $hit bag to walk.

and for that a criminal walks away for the 7th time in a row... and we have a dead girl.

not to mention the hundreds of other victims of catch and release illegals that have also died, and tens of thousands of other victims that have been robbed, raped, and taken advantage of by them.
