Regardless of what kind of lipo battery, you need to recharge them regularly, about 3 months, otherwise they will automatically discharge, the voltage will be insufficient after a long time, I have not used my 3s 5000mah for a period of time, I charge and discharge it every two month ,after one year, it still work

You are right.
Lipo packs are dying after the day they were born. No matter what you do.

So, the only thing you can do for sure is don't forget your packs!

Discharge, charge, storage your packs... And take care of internal resistance record...

One dead cell
I have seen the same thing on many brands. Seems like a conspiracy to sell packs. Have a pile of packs that have no damage but just one out of the many cells dies. Really doesnt make sense that all the other cells are fine. Its not any specific one that usually dies. They all see the same loads and live the same life. Its like they have a process to make sure at least one cell in a majority of packs is lower quality. Funny thing is most of my lower quality brand packs have less of this behaviour. It would be nice to have a more modular battery system that allowed for just swapping single cells around. I know it would add other problems and add weight but for the larger packs might be worth the trade off.

That is correct.

To buy new lipo packs to be used in a couple of year after... Big mistake.

I am agreed that lipo pack must have a expiration date.
Be careful when your local Shop put on offer lipo packs... In most cases, they get rid of old "New" packs with this practice.

I got same problem with NRG, PULSE, VOLTZ packs... For some reason, one cell were dead.
Damage cells also occurr on cells inside and not for the cells outsiders.

In most of the cases, this packs came alive by charging just the "bad" cell.
I develop a single cable to charge the particular dead cell.

To do "the awakening", there is several procedures.
I start by charging the cell like a NiCD cell for 5 minutes at low amps, always Checking raising in voltage.
When the cell reach 3 volts, I change to lipo charging.

If the cell is dead, this procedure is useless.
