Can somebody please explain why it’s so difficult to get a hold of a distributor that sells Vario helis here in the USA? I have repeatedly made attempts to contact East Coast Scale helis that sells Vario with no success???

You should also post this in the Scale Helicopters forum here, if you haven't already. Lots of "friends of Joe" there that can help you out.

Guess I should have replied with this here and not in the Scale section. Here goes...

It’s not great with Vario in Australia and really I’ve never understood Vario’s marketing at all. The local importer seems quite unusual to deal with, kinda like he’s selling high end diamonds and or you need to apply for the adoption of a helicopter!
I really wanted a Skyfox SX some years ago but just couldn’t bring myself to hand over the cash as I couldn’t help but feel I was being screwed over. I really don’t like that awkward feeling that you need to kiss someone’s arse so that you can give them your hard earned money, deep breath then walk in the door. These are just toys after all.
Vario just don’t seem to be particularly interested in selling product, and seem to price and market accordingly. I also always thought an importer would have to show some sales performance over the years to maintain exclusivity?

Vario product moves on its own. Start with a Benzin Trainer of the electric version. From there the mechanics can be used in a scale. Try Canadian or USA dealers. Better yet see if you can find one on the forums for a good savings.
