Caliber 90
Just thought I’d kick some life into the forum.

Is anyone still flying their Caliber and if so tell us all about it.

BTW should we have the forum changed to ‘Quest Neo-Caliber / Kyosho Caliber’ to reinforce the fact that they are still in production by Quest in Japan?

I don’t get the chance to fly them much because I’m currently working overseas but I’m a bit of a Caliber fan - currently have a C90, C90v06, C60 converted to 90 and also a Caliber M50. Great machines and wish I could be in a situation to enjoy them more regularly.

Wow that’s quite a fleet. I’ve always wanted one and may buy a 90v06 in the future.

They’re such beautiful helicopters!

Yes they are nice machines. I’ve always fancied adding a ZG to the fleet but haven’t done anything about it yet. The good thing is so many of the parts are interchangeable.

Well I’ve finally done it - pulled the trigger on a Neo Caliber ZG a few days ago and it’s just arrived from Japan. Going to be a while before I put it together but when I do I’m tempted to do a build thread for those that are interested. I went for the Quest QH1111 kit with the 3-blade main rotorhead.

Awesome!

I've had a Quest Neo-Caliber 50 for a year now...just started assembling it this past weekend. It's a shame that it's mostly built out of the box..I kind of like building.

Anyway, looking forward to your thread!

Haven't been here in a while but I still have my two caliber 60's and probably would never sell them. Just too attached.

But does anyone have a caliber 90 they want to part with?

Are you referring to the original C90 or the C90v.06? If the latter, they are still available (at a price!) from a couple of online vendors - if the former then I have no idea! I have one but it’s the only one I’ve ever seen in the flesh and don’t actually know of any others around. And to answer your question fully - I pretty much feel the same was as you do regarding your C60s and couldn’t bring myself to sell it.

I bought my C90 v06 from RC Japan a little more than a year ago and it's been the only helicopter I've flown since. Sold my Vibe 90sg and shelved my Turbulence D3 EX... Best machine I have ever owned! absolutely no maintenance required, just a regular check now and then and it is still like new, the ball links are free now, that would be the only difference from day one. Zero slop on the whole machine, it is a "pick up and go" helicopter like I have always dreamed of having.
If anyone is still hesitating on pulling the trigger, yes you can treat it like a Trex 700 in the air but with zero hassle afterwards. I am more than happy now to have one C90 and a few small electrics rather than a bunch on 90's laying around with only one or two truly ready to go.

I love my Neo Caliber ZG. If I had a lot of money I would put some effort into finding a Caliber 60 as well because I think they are the nicest helicopter ever built. I really wish Quest would build the original Caliber 60 kit again for the YS60SR. It would be heaven.Quest NEO Caliber ZG, Zenoah G260PUH, CGY750, NHP 750, NHP 115.
